| This is our highest quality, premium choice for firewood. It is a very dense, solid wood. It has our highest BTU rating of about 22.3, providing some of the highest heat and longest burn time. As with all our other woods, it is well seasoned, and much of it is “buckskin,” meaning the bark has fallen off and the outer layer of exposed wood has turned grey with age.
